Description

ONSE Coffee Cleaner is a professional powder for removing the coffee oils and fats that accumulate in brewing units, lines and on the internal surfaces of coffee machines.

Regular use prevents residue build-up, extends the life of the machine and keeps the taste in the cup clean and full.

Composition

Soda ash, sodium percarbonate > 30 %, silicon dioxide, citric acid < 5 %, enzymes, emulsifier < 5 %, C14-16 surfactants < 2 %.

Do not mix with other cleaning products. Keep away from children. Not for food use. On contact with eyes or mucous membranes, rinse thoroughly with running water and seek medical advice if needed.

How to use

Read the cleaning procedure in your machine manufacturer's manual first. When the cycle is done the system must be flushed with clean water.

Superautomatic machines

Preventive use — 15–20 g; heavy soiling — 20–30 g, running the procedure twice.
Empty the drip tray and fill the water tank.
Start the machine's built-in coffee-oil cleaning programme.
If the programme does not prompt for the product, add 10 g to the ground-coffee compartment before starting.
After cleaning, run about 1 L of clean water through the system.

Home series machines

Preventive use — 5–10 g; heavy soiling — 15 g, running the procedure twice.
Place a cup under the spout and make sure the tank holds fresh water.
Add the powder to the ground-coffee compartment and start a ground-coffee brew.
Once about half a cup has brewed, switch the machine off and wait 15 minutes.
Discard the water, switch the machine back on and let the cycle finish. Discard the water again.
Remove the brewing unit and rinse it thoroughly.

Professional equipment: portafilters and groups

Daily cleaning — 15 g; heavy soiling — 30 g.
Remove the portafilter, fit a blind basket, add the powder and lock the portafilter into the group.
Run the brew switch for 5 seconds, pause for a few seconds, then repeat the cycle twice more.
Remove the portafilter, pull a double espresso without coffee to rinse, then rinse the portafilter in hot water.
